About Us

Our Schtick
We're all about kids! Childrenz Center is an independent non-profit Jewish preschool located inside North Shore Congregation Israel. Childrenz Center is a DCFS-licensed preschool for children from 16 months until kindergarten, where play, music and art provide paths to learning, independence and self-confidence. We offer a comfortable, secure and nurturing environment that fosters each child's emotional, social, physical and cognitive development.
Childrenz Center is a full-service preschool. Our curriculum includes Momz ‘n Totz classes through pre-kindergarten classes. Days are filled with art, stories, music, play and motor activities. Along the way, children are also introduced to Jewish holidays, traditions and songs, with weekly Shabbat celebrations.
Childrenz Center is a small school with a family feel, yet large enough to offer a broad spectrum of programming including preschool, summer camp and enrichment programs.
Childrenz Center is affiliated with the Community Foundation for Jewish Education, and a member of the North Shore Nursery School Director's Council and The Early Childhood Educators of Reform Judaism. Our professional staff is degreed, experienced and stable from year-to-year.
